The 12th Annual Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships: Presented by Talking Stick Resort
America’s most attended polo event – The 12th Annual Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships: Presented by Talking Stick Resort returns to WestWorld of Scottsdale for another action-packed afternoon on Saturday, November 4th and you do not want to miss it!
The 2023 lineup includes the polo teams from Texas, Wales, New Orleans, PRIDE USA, USA Women’s All-Star team, Aspen Valley, and two teams from Arizona.
Gates open at 9:45am, and the day will begin with a festive matchup at 10:00 a.m. The Texas Polo Club – Garlandtaking on the PRIDE USA. Among PRIDE’s celebrity players is Actor Sterling Jones as seen in Grey’s Anatomy, The Barbie Movie and NCIS. He will be joined by 3-goaler Juan Bollini and Vinny Sangaline. Garland standouts Oscar Chacon-Hidalgo and Alec Felhaber are promising to deliver an action-packed match.
In the second match of the day starting at 12:15 p.m. enjoy a battle of the sexes as the state’s top polo team the Arizona Polo Club, sponsored by Lamborghini takes on the USA’s Women’s All-Star team. Top Arizona players Diego Florezand Andres Camacho-Castillo will lead the men, while Danielle Travis, Natalie Grancharov-Castillo and Carolyn Likas will compete for the ladies.
In the signature match of the day, the undefeated Bentley Scottsdale’s Aspen Valley Polo Team will go head-to-head against the Wales Polo Team from Great Britian in what is expected to showcase the best polo of the afternoon starting at 2:30 p.m. Leading Aspen is USA’s top player, 8-goaler Nic Roldan alongside teammates 3-goal champion Grant Ganzi and patron Melissa Ganzi. Aspen’s fast action will met by some fierce competition as 5-goaler Jason Crowder,alongside Ricky Cooper and 5-goaler Pete Webb promise a tough battle as they represent the Wales team. Aspen Valley returns having won an unprecedented seven Scottsdale titles. This will be Aspen Valley’s 8th time to try and win the coveted Molina Cup in the featured match of the day.
Then in the final match-up starting at 4:00 p.m. the Scottsdale Polo Academy led by another Arizona polo player Josh Black will deliver another outstanding match against New Orleans Polo Club.
Brand-new for 2023 – a Sunset Concert organized by top concert promoters to showcase a nationally recognized DJ, plus an expanded wine tasting experience, and a polo debut by acclaimed Scottsdale Steakhouse Maple & Ash. Party in the Riot House Polo DayClub, Grimaldi’s Pizza Disco, as well as the Million Dollar Mingle organized by former NFL Star AC Caswell.
Also, brand new for 2023 an expanded wine tasting experience, new charitable partners and elements, and a polo debut by acclaimed Scottsdale steakhouse Maple & Ash. There will also be the first-ever Event & Fall Fashion Showcase in-store on September 30th at Neiman Marcus by invitation only.
The polo matches will entertain crowds throughout the day on November 4th, and so will the other fan favorites events like the Canine Couture Fashion Show by Lugari Pet Salon and The World’s Longest Catwalk Fashion Show Produced by Phoenix Fashion Week and other cool elements. 2023 will also offer more car displays and horsepower supplied by Barrett-Jackson, Bentley Scottsdale and hundreds of other exotic cars displayed throughout the event.
This year fans can also enjoy a return of Riot House Polo DayClub, Grimaldi’s Pizza Disco, which was a hit in its first appearance last year, as well as over ¼ mile of VIP Tents anchored by some of the finest brands in Arizona, as well as the Million Dollar Mingle organized by former NFL Star AC Caswell.
