Last week Candice and I did a fun girls staycation at the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa and it is definitely a grand resort!

The new residential-style look of all guest suites at the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa provides resort guests with a true “home away from home” experience. The Arizona Grand Resort just did a $13 million renavation to all the 744 guest suites and villas! They offer one, two or three-bedroom suites. Nestled at the base of America’s largest urban park and wilderness preserve, it is Arizona’s only AAA Four Diamond all-suite resort featuring spacious one and two-bedroom suites.

Once checking into our suite, we walked to the Oasis Water Park for some fun!

The Oasis Water Park features an 8-story thrill slide, wave pool, lazy river, hot tubs and more. Voted by the Travel Channel as one of the country’s Top 10 Water Parks, families and kids of all ages can spend their days playing in the park’s infinite waves.

Not feeling this? They also have other pools on property for a more relaxing day including an “adults only” pool.

That night we went to dinner at Rustler’s Rooste which is a Western steakhouse (founded in 1971) located at the mountaintop, offering beautiful views of the valley.

This restaurant was SO fun, not only offering amazing food but line dancing, a slide in the middle of the restaurant and Western themes all over. I will be back!

The next morning we relaxed and enjoyed wonderful massages in the spa. I did an 80 minute deep tissue massage which was to die for, I feel fast asleep!

For lunch, everyone on property had been talking about Aunt Chilada’s, so we decided to have lunch there.

Aunt Chilada’s has been serving authentic Mexican food since 1986 and features over 50 different tequilas and they have an award winning salsa. They have a beautiful patio which can now be taken advantage of in Arizona.

After lunch we headed back to our room to relax and get ready to shoot some pictures before getting a glass of wine and then having dinner. The cuisine is so good at the Arizona Grand, I definitely recommend it.

If you are looking for a beautiful place to get married or have an event, the Arizona Grand offers over 120,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting facilities.

Having drinks by the fire pit in front of the golf course, we had dinner at the Lobby Grill which is the newest addition to Arizona Grand Resort & Spa.

The Grill’s casual atmosphere makes it one of Phoenix’s favorite places to relax. In The Lobby Grill’s open-air kitchen and wood-fire oven, top Valley chefs create your favorite dishes, including authentic wood-fired pizzas, rotisserie chicken, pecan and oak fired steaks and other simply grand meals with natural ingredients from local purveyors. Dine indoors or alfresco and take in the scenic beauty of Arizona Grand Resort & Spa Golf Course and South Mountain Preserve beyond.

The next morning we packed up our belongs, ordered rooms service and went on our way.
