I recently did a wonderful stay at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa, an award-winning resort near Camelback Mountain in Paradise Valley, AZ.

The Camelback Inn welcomed me with attentive service, deluxe amenities, heated outdoor pools, garden terraces and desert trails in the Sonoran Desert outside of Scottsdale. They have a free shuttle to their 18-hole championship golf courses, a wonderful spa which I visited (keep reading) and I was able to bring Jax because they are pet-friendly!  The Camelback Inn just did a $12.5 million dollar transformation of its 453 casitas and suites, lobby, restaurants and patios.

Restaurants on property I checked out:

LINCOLN STEAKHOUSE & BAR – American – The Lincoln Red, a famous English breed of cattle, is the muse for this modern Paradise Valley restaurant. A tried-and-true steakhouse with a 21st-century stance, serving up locally sourced American cuisine, shareable plates and craft cocktails. The food was phenomenal and I highly recommend one of steaks (of course) and the Lobster Escargot!

SPROUTS AT THE SPA – Unwind in lush landscapes and a serene atmosphere at Sprouts at the Spa. The restaurant and juice bar offers an innovative, health-forward menu that features local cuisine, guilt-free smoothies and organic cocktails with a focus on fresh ingredients.

RITA’S CANTINA & BAR – Southwestern – Rita’s Cantina & Bar is a local icon and desert original that channels the sultry energy of its namesake drink, the margarita. The restaurant and bar genuinely complements the resort’s 1930s-era casitas and offers traditional Mexican food and drinks. From fajitas to margaritas, our Scottsdale restaurant focuses on Southwestern fare. The vibe is casual and comfortable in the dining room, while crowds at the bar enjoy live music Thursday – Saturday and happy hour specials.

They also have a Starbucks on property too!

RELAX:

SPA – Treat yourself to a visit at their 32,000-square-foot spa and wellness facility with a pool, saunas, steam baths and whirlpools. The Spa at Camelback Inn boasts a full range of services and 30 treatment rooms in our Scottsdale resort.
